Ally was born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa, but decided to trade in winters for sunshine by moving to Tempe to attend Arizona State University. There she earned a B.A. in Journalism, Cum Laude, from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism, with a minor in Italian.
She is fluent in Italian, and has lived and traveled extensively in Italy. Her career in wine began at a small wine bar in Bologna, Italy and continued in Arizona at a wholesaler, Alliance Beverage Distributing. It was here that Ally became a Certified Specialist of Wine from the Society of Wine Educators.
She currently lives in her beloved city of San Francisco, which fulfills her insatiable appetite for culture, food and wine. Ally is excited to travel across the country and share the story of Signorello Estate and the passion behind the wines.
